Welcome

Jesus said: “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Mark 11:24

This Sunday we celebrate together with the Lord's Supper, before which we will sing this beautiful communion song.

Behold the Lamb who bears our sins away,
Slain for us and we remember
The promise made that all who come in faith
Find forgiveness at the cross.
So we share in this Bread of Life,
And we drink of His sacrifice,
As a sign of our bonds of peace
Around the table of the King.

Planters

Planter

We are starting to get the planters ready for planting.
After some trial and error we have found the best liners are large blue IKEA bags. They are very strong and should last for many years.
We need another 6 bags. We would be grateful if you would have a look and see if you have any
to spare for this purpose.

If you are able to donate any bags please speak to Billy or Isobel Lithgow. Thank you.

Audio Visual

blue-angle-line-mixerPlease consider helping us to operate the audio and computer to show the slides and set the sounds levels. We've had a couple of people respond but we still need a few more helpers so we can get some kind of rota organised and provide cover when people are ill or on holiday. Anyone joining is given training and will just watch for a few weeks to see how it is done before being let loose with the equipment, at that point they will be guided by someone and not left on their own until they feel ready.

If you can help, please speak to Stuart

Tea / Coffee Rota

bring own cup
4th Feb - Alison Barkley, Seona Kyle, Anne Mair
11th Feb- Lynnette Hilditch, Karen Mowat, Lesley Young
18th Feb -
25th Feb -
There are spaces on the rota so please consider putting your name down to help. The more people the less frequently you will be called upon.

Thanks to everyone who already brings a mug.
We are trying to become greener and it really helps if people bring their own cups/mugs and it saves us buying disposable mugs.

Thank you
Jackie and Norman

Maxwell Pray Now Group

Pray Now is a WhatsApp group for Maxwell members
pray now
This group sends out occasional requests for prayer. In particular those which might be regarding things more acute or immediate. At present there are 17 of us who, when we receive a request for prayer, stop what we are doing and pray for whatever has been asked.

Are you on the Pray Now WhatsApp Group? If you want to be added to the group to receive prayer news then simply ask Denise and she will add your number to the list.

If you have a matter that you would like to be prayed about in this way, you can contact Denise Lowson and she will organise for news to be sent out.
